These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Selfotix website (selfotix.com), the Selfotix AI Automation Chrome Extension, related software, services, and any content, features, or applications we provide (collectively, the “Product”). By accessing or using the Product, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the Product.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Product, you confirm that:

  • You are at least 18 years old (or the legal age of majority in your jurisdiction).

  • You have the authority to accept these Terms.

  • You will comply with all applicable laws and regulations.

  • If you are using the Product on behalf of an organization, you represent that you are authorized to bind that organization to these Terms.

2. Software License Agreement (EULA)

By downloading, installing, or using the Selfotix software—including the AI Automation Chrome Extension—you agree to the Selfotix EULA.

The EULA governs your rights and responsibilities regarding:

  • Software usage

  • Code and design

  • Functionality and features

If the EULA conflicts with these Terms, the EULA controls for matters related to software operation.

3. Free Plan

Selfotix provides a free tier for personal use and limited commercial use. The free plan includes restricted access to certain features and does not require a license key.

Selfotix may modify, limit, suspend, or discontinue the free plan at any time without notice.

4. Product Description & Permitted Use

Selfotix provides AI-powered automation and scraping tools that help users simplify repetitive web tasks. The Product may:

  • Automate browser actions

  • Scrape publicly available website data

  • Process data using AI models

  • Integrate with third-party tools via scripts or webhooks

You agree that you will:

  • Use the Product only for lawful and authorized purposes

  • Comply with all website terms, robots.txt rules, and platform policies

  • Not scrape or automate websites that prohibit such activities

  • Not violate intellectual property, privacy, or data protection laws

  • Not bypass captchas, rate limits, or technical protections unless permitted

Your Responsibility

Selfotix only executes actions based on your instructions. You are solely responsible for ensuring compliance with laws, regulations, and website terms.

5. User Accounts & Security

Some features may require registration. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate information

  • Keep your credentials secure

  • Notify Selfotix of unauthorized access at [email protected]

Selfotix may suspend or terminate accounts for misuse or fraudulent activity.

6. User Content

“User Content” includes any data, inputs, prompts, scripts, workflows, scraped data, or materials processed through the Product.

You retain full ownership of your User Content.

You grant Selfotix a limited, worldwide, royalty-free license to process your User Content solely to operate and improve the Product.

You agree NOT to upload or transmit:

  • Illegal content

  • Harmful code

  • Sensitive personal information without authorization

  • Content violating third-party rights

7. Privacy, Data Storage & Local Device Responsibility

Your personal data is handled per our Privacy Policy.

Local-Only Data Storage (IMPORTANT CLAUSE)

Selfotix does not store, access, or back up your workflows, scraped data, project files, automation history, or any related information on cloud servers.

All such data is stored locally on your device unless you manually export or transmit it through a third-party service.

No Data Recovery

Because data is stored only on your system, Selfotix cannot:

  • Retrieve deleted workflows

  • Recover lost scraped data

  • Restore overwritten or corrupted files

  • Access or view your saved data at any time

You are solely responsible for:

  • Creating backups

  • Safeguarding your data

  • Preventing accidental deletion

Selfotix is not responsible for any loss resulting from local device failures, user actions, or workflow deletion.

8. Intellectual Property

Selfotix retains all rights to:

  • Software and code

  • Trademarks and logos

  • UI/UX elements

  • Documentation

  • Proprietary algorithms

You may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, sell, or distribute the Product.

Feedback and suggestions may be used by Selfotix without obligation.

9. Third-Party Services

The Product may interact with third-party websites, APIs, and platforms. Selfotix is not responsible for:

  • Third-party content

  • Their availability or performance

  • Their policies or restrictions

Your use of third-party tools is entirely at your own risk.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Product is provided “as is” and “as available.”
Selfotix does not guarantee:

  • Uninterrupted or error-free operations

  • Accuracy of AI outputs

  • Scraper functionality when websites change layouts

  • Protection against anti-bot systems, captchas, or rate limits

Automation and scraping inherently involve risks.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Selfotix shall not be liable for:

  • Indirect or consequential damages

  • Data loss (including locally stored workflows or scraped data)

  • Profit loss or business interruption

  • Legal consequences of scraping or automation

  • Misuse of the Product

Your use of the Product is at your own risk.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Selfotix harmless from claims arising from:

  • Your violation of these Terms

  • Your scraping or automation actions

  • Your misuse of the Product

  • Any breach of third-party rights

13. Termination

Selfotix may suspend or terminate access if you:

  • Violate these Terms

  • Misuse automation features

  • Engage in harmful or unlawful activity

  • Threaten platform security

Upon termination, all rights to use the Product stop immediately.

14. Changes to These Terms

Selfotix may modify these Terms at any time. Material changes may be communicated through:

  • Email

  • Website notice

  • Extension update notice

Continued use constitutes acceptance.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India.
Jurisdiction: Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh.

16. Severability

If any section of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect.
